This piece is a traditionally crafted antique Japanese tansu cabinet inspired by designs from the Edo period. It was fully modeled and textured in Maya with close attention to historical accuracy. Tansu were known for their practical storage uses as well as their refined joinery and decorative metalwork, so I studied authentic references to capture accurate proportions, wood grain qualities, and hardware detailing.

The model is fully rigged and animated, with each drawer functional and able to open and close smoothly. My focus was on balancing aesthetic authenticity with clean topology and efficient asset construction suitable for both cinematic use and real-time applications.
